The No.1 Ammunition column served with the besieged forces under Major E.S. May and comprised 5 officers, 103 men, 79 horses, 114 mules, 90 oxen and 38 attendants. Casualties during the siege were listed as three men died of disease.
The No.2 Ammunition Column also served with the besieged force under Captain R.G. Ouseley and comprised 3 officers, 94 men and 143 horses. Casualties during the siege were 3 died of disease.
