Range Post

Situated on the western perimeter of the defences, Range Post was strategically placed to view the Boers on Riflemans Ridge and Telegraph Ridge. The 1^st Battalion Royal Irish Fusiliers moved on to the Post at 8 am 1^st November pitching their camp under the ridge. The paths were macadamised on 16^th November 1899.
