Range Post

Situated on the western perimeter of the defences, Range Post was strategically placed to view the Boers on Riflemans Ridge and Telegraph Ridge. The 1st Battalion Royal Irish Fusiliers moved on to the Post at 8 am 1st November pitching their camp under the ridge. The paths were macadamised on 16th November 1899.
