Forfar bridies
1 pound lean beef
1 pound puff pastry, either made or bought
3 ounces shredded suet
2 tsp finely chopped onions
Salt and pepper
Worcestershire sauce
Mince beef.
Roll out pastry to about ¼ inch thick then cut out four circles using all dough.
Mix meat, suet, onion, salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce to taste.
Divide the mixture into four, putting it onto one half of each pastry circle.
Brush edge of pastry circle with water then fold over other half to close, pressing down the edges to seal well.
Cut slit in the top of each one, place on baking tray and heat in over at 230C for 10 minutes.
Reduce oven to 180C and bake for another hour.
